A downloadable game for Windows

Intended as the framework for a short programming assignment about two dimensional arrays, this simple Snake clone is fully annotated and should be fairly easily read by novice programmers.

NEW! Snek 2.0 - 35 Lines of Snake presents  a  56.25% code reduction! Not as readily understood by beginners, it was a fun exercise!

Install instructions

  • Snake - 80 Lines of Annotated Source Code (GM:S 1.4.1763) requires Game Maker: Studio 1.4.1763 (or greater). Download and unzip to run.
  • Snake - 80 Lines of Annotated Source Code (GM 8.1 Lite) requires GameMaker 8.1 (Lite edition or greater). Download to run.
  • Snek - 80 Lines of Snake (Windows Executable) is only tested on Windows 7. Download and execute to install and run.
  • Snek 2.0 - 35 Lines of Snake (GM:S 1.4.1772 compressed archive) requires Game Maker: Studio 1.4.1772 (or greater).  Download and import into GM:S.
